About the Depreciation Calculator
Straight-line depreciation spreads an asset's cost evenly over its useful life. Enter the asset cost, its salvage (residual) value, and the useful life in years to get the annual and monthly depreciation and the total depreciable amount. It's the most common method for accounting, tax, and equipment planning.
How to use the Depreciation Calculator
- 01Enter your asset cost, salvage value, and useful life in years.
- 02Read the result instantly — it recalculates as you type.
